The Project

Vivid Sydney 2024, an annual festival of light, music and ideas, presented a unique logistical challenge: covering walkways between control rooms at one of Australia's most iconic sites, right beneath the Harbour Bridge. The organisers needed a sustainable and effective shelter solution that could integrate seamlessly with the festival's dynamic environment, including immersive light installations, while accommodating both the technical requirements of the control rooms and the comfort of staff and visitors.

Our Approach

Modutech partnered with Kennards Hire and Vivid Sydney to design and provide reusable temporary walkway covers, specifically engineered for this high-profile event. Drawing from over 30 years of experience in construction and transport, our team developed a durable and sustainable shelter solution. The modular, easy-to-install walkway covers were not only fit for purpose but also reflected the ethos of sustainability that underpins our innovation.

The Result

The temporary walkway covers were successfully installed, ensuring effective coverage between control rooms throughout the Vivid Sydney event. Our solution offered a safe and comfortable environment for staff and visitors while enhancing operational efficiency. By utilising reusable components, we reduced waste and supported the event's sustainability goals. The result was a seamless blend of functionality, aesthetics, and environmental responsibility, meeting the high standards expected at such a globally recognised event.
